What is IS Defense?
Set in a politically fictional 2020, IS Defense casts the player as a stationary NATO machine-gun operator defending Europe’s shores from an invasion across the Mediterranean.
The player fires a machine gun and rocket launcher, calls in NATO support forces, and kills as many invaders as possible during a last stand. Progression includes upgrades to equipment, the operator’s body, and army rank; rank affects the effectiveness of called support. The game is presented as a modern adaptation of stationary defense games associated with Operation Wolf and Beach Head. Its setting uses a fictional expansion of ISIS as the premise for the opposing invasion.
