Our take on Ionia
The wildlife-support message receives prominent attention, while the playable experience is a roughly one-hour story. Exploration and atmosphere are central, but the compact scope leaves little room for extended progression or repeated-session depth.
What is Ionia?
Ionia is a single-player interactive story set in a forest filled with animated plants, animals, and fantasy landscapes.
The story follows two siblings on a quest to restore the Harpa, a mythical creature threatened by the advancing Tritone army. Exploration includes riding a giant tortoise through an underground river, using ziplines across canyons, climbing vines, and visiting bioluminescent caves. Musical puzzles reveal additional areas, while music-based magic connects the adventure’s central themes. Players can interact with creatures and plant life, and forage food for glowing Ocarinas. The experience is intended for all ages and takes about one hour to complete. The game is single-player and presented as a virtual reality story.
