Our take on Inversion™
Gravity manipulation receives the strongest emphasis, but the game also presents a conventional story about invasion, duty, and a missing daughter. The unusual physics are therefore a combat system within a war narrative, rather than the game’s sole focus.
What is Inversion™?
Play as Davis Russell, a police officer searching for his missing daughter after an unknown force invades his city.
The campaign centers on manipulating gravity with the Gravlink device: targets can be made heavier or lighter, enemies can be floated, and objects such as cars can become cover. Combat takes place across shifting gravity conditions, including zero-gravity sections. Destructible environments allow players to damage cover and bring overhead objects down onto enemies. The cover system uses existing objects or objects created through manipulation. The story can be played alone or with others, while multiplayer includes cooperative and competitive modes on gravity-focused maps for up to 11 friends.
How Inversion™ plays
- 01Gravity manipulation
- The Gravlink can alter a target’s gravity, lift opponents, crush objects, or move cars into defensive positions.
- 02Changing gravity states
- Combat includes shifting global gravity conditions and sections where characters are weightless.
- 03Destructible environments
- Shots can break enemy cover and bring elevated objects down onto targets.
- 04Flexible cover
- Players can use objects already in the environment or reposition them to create protection.
- 05Multiplayer modes
- The game offers cooperative and competitive play, with gravity-focused maps and modes for up to 11 friends.
Inversion™ compared to similar games
Inversion combines story-driven shooting with gravity manipulation, destructible cover, and cooperative or competitive multiplayer. Abyssus also centers on multiplayer shooting, but its description focuses on roguelite levels, brine-powered weapons, and weapon modification. Hentai Vs Furries describes a third-person shooter with quests, skins, multiple camera angles, and a main mode plus a separate pleasure mode.
