We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Town-building fans who want to manage several interdependent resources
- Players who prefer open-ended construction over a fixed map boundary
- Players who enjoy arranging buildings and composing town screenshots
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a clear endpoint may find the open-ended construction loop lacks a defined finish.
- Players who prefer building without ongoing resource management may hit friction when structures keep consuming supplies.
- Players seeking combat-focused strategy may find the rebuilding and layout focus does not match that preference.
Our take on Infinite Construction
The likely sticking point is the resource loop: every structure costs supplies to build, then continues drawing on resources while producing others. Players who do not want to track 18 resource types may hit a wall as soon as the town begins expanding.
What is Infinite Construction?
Rebuild a peaceful town after a war in an open-ended construction sandbox.
The game includes 18 resources, including population and money. Building construction uses resources, while completed buildings continue consuming some resources and producing others. The central task is to grow supplies while keeping their levels in balance. There is no fixed construction boundary; play can continue as long as the computer can run it. Pressing R repeats the most recent building placement, allowing batches of the same building to be constructed. In the middle and later stages, the focus shifts toward arranging buildings and leaving suitable gaps between them. The game also lets players share screenshots of their towns.
How Infinite Construction plays
- 01Resource balancing
- Buildings draw on supplies during construction and continue to use some while generating others.
- 02Repeat building placement
- Pressing R places another copy of the last building without returning to the build selection.
- 03Open-ended construction
- The town can expand without a fixed build boundary, subject to the computer's performance.
- 04Town screenshots
- Players can share images of their building layouts.
