What is Hiragana Hero?
Hiragana Hero combines hiragana reading practice with a 35-floor dungeon crawler RPG.
Players solve puzzles to find hiragana monsters, then choose the correct readings to defeat them and gain experience. Making too many mistakes sends the player back to the beginning, while levels are retained. Correctly reading hiragana also allows players to obtain flashcards, with 50 available to collect for increased rewards. Character progression includes leveling and buying stronger equipment to raise stats. The game includes a professional music track and a fully voiced script. Its learning focus covers reading, recognizing, and using hiragana as an introductory step in Japanese learning.
