StrategyIs HexTD worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Tower defense players who want to shape enemy paths rather than use fixed routes
- Strategy players who prefer changing maps and enemy behavior between matches
- Friends seeking cooperative tower defense for two players
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking fixed-map tower defense may find the changing layouts less predictable
- Players who want identical strategies across repeated sessions may find the randomized maps and enemies too variable
- Players looking for a broader military strategy game may find the focus on base defense too narrow
Our take on HexTD
The focus on route-building and match variation comes at the cost of a fixed, repeatable battlefield. Players must adapt tower placement to each generated map and the changing behavior of enemies.
What is HexTD?
HexTD is a tower defense game centered on shaping enemy movement.
Players choose one of three classes, then deploy machines, soldiers, or elementals to create routes toward their base. Maps are randomly generated, and towers can be placed freely, allowing different path layouts in each match. Enemies also behave with some randomness, while bosses add additional threats to defend against. Each class has a distinct gameplay style, creating different strategic approaches. The game supports solo play and cooperative sessions with one friend.
