Our take on HAM: The Game
The comic chaos is the headline, but the core structure is repeated quota work: load, repair, coordinate, and continue until the factory collapses. The manager-versus-staff split and end-of-shift vote add social structure, while the endless format leaves progression centered on survival time rather than a defined conclusion.
What is HAM: The Game?
HAM: The Game is a cooperative factory-management game built around fulfilling orders under increasing pressure.
Players load ham into containers, operate conveyor systems, repair failing equipment, and manage multiple loading bays while delivery deadlines approach. The factory changes as machinery breaks, hoppers overflow, and new equipment becomes available. One player can act as manager, controlling systems from an office, while staff handle physical tasks on the factory floor. At the end of each shift, players vote on whether to retain or replace the manager. Wasted products, damaged goods, and inefficient work reduce daily profits. Orders continue indefinitely, with more simultaneous demands and tighter deadlines creating an escalating challenge.
