Our take on Hack.ing
Rather than using adventure conventions such as exploration and combat, the game reduces its crisis scenario to linked puzzle tasks. Every hacking course leads into a connect-the-dots challenge, making the structure sequential and rule-based instead of story-led.
What is Hack.ing?
Hack.
ing casts the player as a government employee responsible for server computers during an attempted intrusion by an anonymous organization. The game combines obstacle navigation with connect-the-dots puzzles. Players move a green circle using keyboard controls, avoid red hazards, and pass through maps containing rotating barriers, opening and closing barriers, and keys. Each hacking puzzle is followed by a dot-connection challenge. The game includes 12 hacking puzzles and 11 connect-the-dots puzzles. Progress depends on reaching the end of each course without touching obstacles, then completing the associated connection puzzle. The available controls are WASD or arrow keys, Enter, and Space.
