Our take on GroundFall
The focus on bush flying gives GroundFall a distinctive survival loop, but it also narrows the experience around remote travel, aircraft upkeep, and small-scale construction rather than broader progression systems or varied combat.
What is GroundFall?
GroundFall is a minimalist sandbox game centered on flying bush airplanes through open wilderness.
Players complete missions involving exploration, camping, construction, and survival while attempting takeoffs and landings at rugged remote sites. Flight uses physics-based handling, aircraft damage and repairs, fuel management, flaps, water landings, and terrain effects from wet grass, mud, snow, and ice. Outside the cockpit, players can craft or find tools, weapons, and resources; build campsites, shelters, cabins, and runways; and gather, harvest, or hunt food. Optional survival systems track energy, hunger, and thirst. Open-world maps include seasonal rain, snow, lightning, fog, clouds, vegetation, trees, and wildlife.
