Our take on Gripper
The game concentrates its action around a cyber bike, grappling hook, and boss encounters. That focus gives the combat a specific identity, but leaves less room for other forms of combat or a broader range of encounter types.
What is Gripper?
Gripper is a story-driven action game about None, a cyber biker trapped in a collapsing world.
Players race through post-apocalyptic landscapes linked by dangerous tunnels and explore dead lands with a mechanized cat companion. Combat combines bike movement with riding, sliding, dodging, and a grappling hook. The hook can interact with the environment, grab and throw explosives, and tear metal hearts from enemies to gain abilities. Bosses include monster trucks, giant arachnids, mechanized titans, and snakes. Bike customization includes energy boosters, drones, mines, and other gadgets. The story follows None’s search for answers about the past and the effort to rescue family members. Encounters can reward special abilities, gadgets, and rare skins.
