Our take on Grimm: Dark Legacy
The generational rogue-lite structure trades individual-character continuity for ongoing progression: death ends a Grimm's run, while accumulated knowledge carries forward to a successor. Real-time area generation also favors changing encounters over a fixed, authored route through the world.
What is Grimm: Dark Legacy?
Grimm: Dark Legacy is a medieval survival game built around exploration, hunger, combat, and rogue-lite progression.
Players form a band of Grimm, hunt fauna and Wesen, gather materials, craft equipment, and raid areas across 10 countries. Online cooperative play supports teams of up to 4 Grimm, while offline mode provides single-player play. More than 80 mission areas are generated in real time from changing combinations of blueprints, Wesen, and other creatures. Defeated characters pass knowledge to a new generation, allowing the adventure to continue after death. The Wesen are based on creatures from the NBC television series and have different powers.
