Our take on Gravity Field
The focus on increasingly complex puzzles gives up plot and character development. Its sparse rooms and limited functional objects keep the design centered on spatial reasoning, but leave little room for activities outside solving the presented logic challenges.
What is Gravity Field?
Gravity Field is a spatial-logic puzzle game set in cubic rooms with no fixed top or bottom.
Players move across walls and ceilings while different Gravity Fields change the direction of movement and reactions. Puzzles involve cubes, buttons, connectors, and closed doors that require combinations of these objects. A time-inversion mechanic lets players reverse the movement of selected objects to create solutions. The game has no plot and focuses on puzzles that become more complex as new levels and tasks are completed. Its minimalist rooms contain only items with specific functions, keeping attention on navigation, gravity, object manipulation, and problem solving.
How Gravity Field plays
- 01Variable gravity zones
- Different Gravity Fields alter movement and reactions within and around each area.
- 02Object time reversal
- A time-inversion mechanic can reverse the behavior of selected objects during puzzle solving.
- 03Functional room elements
- Cubes, buttons, and connectors are used to open doors and progress through rooms.
- 04Increasing puzzle complexity
- Completing levels and tasks opens further challenges with greater complexity.
Gravity Field compared to similar games
Gravity Field presents spatial puzzles built around gravity changes, wall-and-ceiling navigation, and reversing time for objects. SpaceChem instead has players construct factories that transform raw materials into chemical products, while Fun with Ragdolls: The Game focuses on sandbox construction and physics-based ragdoll interactions.
