What is GolfTopia?
GolfTopia combines golf-course construction with resort management.
Players shape terrain, place tees, holes, buildings, and unusual devices such as fans, bumpers, launchers, and teleporters. Up to 200 persistent golfers visit, develop skills, and form long-term opinions based on their experiences. Their thoughts can be inspected at the locations where they occur, providing information for adjusting the course. Visitors may become members who generate additional income, while poor conditions can drive them away. An infestation of weeds creates an ongoing maintenance problem, handled with robotic workers or defensive turrets. Players can also enter their own courses, improve a manager character through practice, and compete in tournaments for cash rewards. Bankruptcy remains a management risk.
