Rather than simulating a full hockey lineup, the game centers on one goalie facing up to five attackers. Its custom positioning system replaces standard fixed plays with player-arranged offensive situations, while full-body tracking turns saves into physical VR actions.
What is Goalie VR?
Goalie VR places one player in the goal against as many as five opposing players in the Hailstone Arena.
Opponents can be positioned anywhere in the offensive zone to create custom plays. Matches can use AI opponents or real-time multiplayer with friends through the GoalieVR Mobile App, which requires a compatible iOS or Android device. Full-body movement with HTC Vive Trackers supports actions such as acrobatic saves and stacking the pads. The game presents an intentionally unrealistic version of hockey focused on the goaltender’s role rather than a complete team simulation.
