Our take on Glow
The world-champion framing emphasizes leaderboard competition, while the described play centers on shooting enemies, collecting power-ups, and unlocking perks. The result is a focused score-attack game rather than a broader campaign-led experience.
What is Glow?
Glow is a fast-paced third-person shooter in which a lone firefly battles spiders, slugs, and other hostile creatures.
The zoomable camera presents the action in modern 3D while drawing on the structure of older top-down shooters. Combat centers on choosing weapons, ordnance, and passive abilities, with more than 500 possible combinations. Power-ups can restore health, add points, or summon minions to fight alongside the firefly. Defeating enemies raises the score and unlocks additional perks, creating progression across play. Death does not end the game, since further play provides opportunities to collect more perks. Scores feed into an online leaderboard, with the stated goal of reaching the top.

Glow compared to similar games
