Our take on Glo Phlox
Its defining structure is a connected metroidvania world where twin-stick shooting, puzzles, and druidic abilities all feed into exploration and progression.
What is Glo Phlox?
Glö Phlox is a top-down twin-stick shooter set in an interconnected metroidvania world.
Players guide Cordette, a young elf who wakes in a mystical forest after an ambush with no memory of her past. Exploring the world and communing with nature restores her memories and druidic abilities. Progress includes puzzle solving, new powers, varied ammunition, boss battles, and encounters with characters whose stories and side quests can affect their fates. Combat combines fast shooting with a Bloom Rush ability that also applies to exploration and puzzles. Bullet Hell-style boss encounters provide major challenges, while hand-drawn pixel art and custom lighting create a glowing visual style.
