Our take on Genesis of a Small God
The defining structure is indirect rule: villagers make their own building choices, while the god changes terrain, supplies resources, destroys structures, and manages the conditions that shape their faith.
What is Genesis of a Small God?
Play as a minor deity on a procedurally generated voxel island.
Villagers build and expand their settlement while gathering resources, and their faith depends on food, shelter, safety, and other living conditions. Shape the terrain, influence village development, destroy buildings, and respond to threats such as undead hordes, alien abductions, invasive plants, and unusual celestial events. Miracles include fire, rain, meteors, and resurrection, with additional powers unlocked through accumulated faith and souls. The island simulates seasons, flora, fauna, physics, and reactions to divine actions. Each new island can be restarted while unlocked powers are retained. Difficulty settings range from no random events to simultaneous problems requiring rapid responses.
