The main sticking point arrives each wave: five random gems appear, but only one can be kept. The remaining gems become maze pieces, so players must weigh tower upgrades against route construction before the next wave advances.
What is Gem Tower Defense 2?
Build mazes from stones and plan tower placement to slow waves of monsters advancing on a fortress.
Each wave places 5 random gems; keep one and turn the rest into stones. Matching gems can be upgraded: 2 matching gems allow an upgrade, while 4 allow a higher-level upgrade. Special combinations can also be synthesized, and reserved gems can be downgraded to support those recipes. Towers include eight types of basic tower across six levels, recipe-based synthesis towers, star towers made through super-synthesis, and evolution towers that use gold coins. Waves grow tougher as monsters gain health. Press the space bar to place and retain gems quickly.
