We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want a shop simulator centered on collecting creatures

- Sandbox players who prefer decorating, upgrading, and expanding a store
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly focused shop-management game may find the many side activities distracting from store operations.
- Players looking for a short, linear experience may not fit the repeated collecting, upgrading, exploring, and questing structure.
- Players who do not want to manage prices, customers, cleanliness, or employees may find the shop duties unsuitable.
Our take on GeckoShop
The store presentation gives equal weight to exploration, mutation, fishing, racing, pets, and collecting, while the core shop role still requires pricing, customer service, maintenance, and theft management. The breadth of activities may make the central retail workflow less prominent than the feature list suggests.
What is GeckoShop?
GeckoShop combines shop management with creature collecting.
Players set prices, serve customers, maintain the store, or hire employees to handle sales, cleaning, and thieves. The shop can be upgraded, painted, decorated, and expanded into a large warehouse or a zoo for collected geckos. Exploration takes place across an island city with NPCs, quests, a museum, a laboratory, a paintshop, a petshop, and other locations. Geckos come in four rarities and can be obtained through chests, vending machines, sidequests, and laboratory mutations. Players can also collect shells, artifacts, fish, and trophies, sell fish, race geckos, and keep lizards as pets instead of selling them.
