Game Dev Masters casts the player as a new solo developer managing a game studio from a 3D office.
Research, training, skill assignment, engine development, publishing, pricing, and production decisions shape each release. Games can use more than 4,000 topic and genre combinations, with requirements that change as audience expectations rise. Procedural or reality-based game seeds alter how suitable combinations are discovered. Progression adds larger offices, specialized workers, subsidiary studios, DLC, ports, remakes, remasters, sequels, and AAA projects. The simulation also includes loans, investments, stock trading, revenue reports, conventions, awards, dynamic events, and customizable offices. Fifteen generated AI competitors can be acquired, developed, and assigned work. Global leaderboards and a Hall of Fame track competitive results.
