Good fit- Retro platform-game fans who want a key-collection objective
- Players seeking short-form puzzle platforming rather than combat-focused action

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a large, story-driven adventure may find the key-collection structure narrow in scope.
- Those looking for varied combat systems may find the yoyo-based platforming and enemy avoidance limited.
- Players who prefer modern visual styles may not want a retro pixel presentation.
Our take on Frak!
The expanded level count and added platform types receive prominent attention, but the central activity remains straightforward: collect keys, avoid named enemies, and reach completion. The listing gives little indication of how much the five difficulty settings change the individual stages.
What is Frak!?
Frak!
is a 2D platform puzzle game built around collecting every key in each level. Players control Trogg, a caveman armed with a yoyo, while avoiding enemies called Scrubblies, Poglets, and Hooters. This reboot expands the original 1984 game from three levels to 55. The levels include vertical scrolling, moving and movable platforms, and bouncy platforms. Five difficulty settings provide different challenge options. The game also includes 100 Steam Achievements. Its presentation uses retro pixel graphics, while the gameplay combines platform navigation, hazards, and key collection across a larger set of stages than the original release.
How Frak! plays
- 01Key-based progression
- Each stage requires Trogg to gather all available keys before it can be completed.
- 02Platform hazards
- Levels use vertical scrolling alongside moving, movable, and bouncing platforms.
- 03Difficulty settings
- Five selectable difficulty levels vary the challenge.
- 04Steam achievements
- The game includes 100 achievements on Steam.
