Our take on Forgotten
The game departs from a purely solitary horror structure by adding a two-person mode with a shared escape task. Its side-view presentation also replaces the first-person format often associated with horror games.
What is Forgotten?
Play as Jerry, a man who ends up in an abandoned mansion after a car accident and realizes that he is not alone.
Escape the mansion by finding different things and using them wisely, although some actions may not be obvious. The game presents its horror through a side-view format and a nightmare-like atmosphere. A cooperative mode for two people focuses on finding fuel cans, filling the car, and leaving the forest. Forgotten can therefore be played as a solo escape or as a two-person adventure. Its central structure combines survival with item use, while the mansion and forest provide the settings for the escape.
How Forgotten plays
- 01Item-Based Escape
- Progress involves locating objects and working out how to apply them when the required action is not always clear.
- 02Two-Player Cooperation
- The cooperative mode has two players collect fuel cans, fill the car, and attempt to leave the forest.
- 03Side-View Horror
- The horror story is presented from a side view and takes place in a nightmare-like atmosphere.
