Our take on Folie Fatale
The premise foregrounds eccentric romance targets and psychological horror, while the practical limitation is language access: the Steam edition offers only Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The route structure is also specific, with five main targets, one additional target, and three endings per character.
What is Folie Fatale?
Folie Fatale is a women-oriented psychological romance-horror visual novel set at a private high school.
The protagonist, Natsuki Sakuraba, is an ordinary student who repeatedly attracts dangerous, emotionally unstable men. A sudden flood of letters at her shoe locker begins a new crisis. The cast includes five main romance targets plus one additional target: a younger health committee member, a former soccer player, two older students, and Natsuki’s university-aged brother. The game presents their personal histories and relationships as the story develops. Each character has three endings, with additional ending content also listed. The protagonist’s name can be changed. The Steam version is available only in Japanese and Simplified Chinese and includes some extreme and ethically troubling material.
