Our take on Fission
The focused scoring loop gives up variety: each attempt uses the same basic movement, collection, and avoidance structure. Increasing speed adds pressure, but does not introduce new mission types, exploration, or broader progression systems.
What is Fission?
Fission is a casual game built around continuous forward movement.
Players guide a dark cube through a field containing rotating golden cubes and gray geometric obstacles. Breaking a golden cube adds one point to the score, while touching a gray cube or parallelepiped ends the run and requires a restart. The cube's speed increases as play continues, making obstacle avoidance progressively more demanding. The game uses minimalistic graphics and includes music. Its structure centers on repeated attempts to collect as many points as possible before colliding with a hazard.
How Fission plays
- 01Point Collection
- Each golden cube broken during a run adds one point to the score.
- 02Rising Speed
- The controlled cube moves faster over time, increasing the difficulty during a run.
- 03Run Resetting
- Contact with a gray cube or parallelepiped ends the attempt and sends the player back to the start.
- 04Minimal Visuals
- The game presents its cube-based obstacles and play space with minimalistic graphics.
Fission compared to similar games
SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER is also a runner, but combines movement with jumping, shooting, dodging, and destroying enemies. Fission instead centers on breaking golden cubes, avoiding gray geometric obstacles, and building a score through repeated runs.
