Firefighters 2014 is a simulation of routine fire department work.
Calls range from residential and barn fires to road crashes, subway accidents and flooded cellars. Squad members join the player to tackle flames and aid the injured. Duties include freeing people trapped in damaged cars, bracing buildings, removing water from basements and operating hydrants. Incidents take place in urban districts, industrial zones, along a beltway, and in villages and wooded countryside. Vehicles available to operate include fire engines, aerial ladder units, ambulances, trucks with interchangeable bodies and a support fire vehicle. Crowds and road traffic populate streets and squares, while other cars move out of the way when emergency vehicles respond.
