Our take on Farragnarok
The store presentation foregrounds peaceful tree growth and playful mystery, while the available scope is centered on planting, harvesting, and hybridization in LOHAE. Several additional game types are presented as future lands, so they are not part of the current playable scope.
What is Farragnarok?
Farragnarok begins in LOHAE, a tree-growing simulation where players plant trees, pick fruit, and combine trees and fruit into hybrids.
The surface appears peaceful, while events beneath the roots gradually reveal a darker narrative involving the Titan Nidhogg and the Reaper of Life. Tree and fruit descriptions are generated procedurally. Players choose whether to destroy life or use life’s power to destroy. The game also includes a demo for the Land of Mists and Trails, an Oregon Trail-like journey about carrying dead souls to their final resting place. The vendor lists future lands with tower defense, word puzzles, procedural storytelling, walking simulation, and city building, connected by an ongoing narrative.
