Our take on Fantasma
Rather than centering on direct combat, Fantasma structures its horror around preparation, shared tasks, equipment choices, and extraction. The genre’s usual confrontation is replaced by coordinated expeditions in which survival depends on reaching an exit while apparitions pursue the group.
What is Fantasma?
Fantasma is a cooperative psychological horror game for 1–4 players.
Players prepare by buying and upgrading equipment, then select a loadout before traveling to haunted locations. At each site, the group faces increasingly rare and dangerous apparitions while completing tasks that require coordination. The objective is to find a way out while being hunted. Successful escapes provide funds for further equipment purchases, allowing the team to re-equip and deploy again. The game supports solo play as well as cooperative sessions, with its structure built around preparation, expeditions, teamwork, escape, and repeat deployment against supernatural threats.
How Fantasma plays
- 01Four-player cooperation
- Sessions support one to four players, with tasks that require coordinated teamwork.
- 02Upgradeable equipment
- Players can purchase and improve specialized gear before returning to haunted locations.
- 03Haunted expeditions
- Each outing sends players to supernatural sites where apparitions become rarer and more dangerous.
- 04Escape-based progression
- Getting out while pursued generates funds for later equipment and deployments.
