We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Life-simulation players who want a story about searching for a missing family
- Players who enjoy dividing in-game days among social activities, minigames, and duels
- Combat-focused players interested in boss battles with ability and ultimate choices
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fast-paced, uninterrupted narrative may find the repeating-day structure slow.
- Those looking for a life sim without combat or leaderboard competition may find the duel progression too prominent.
- Players who prefer realistic settings may not enjoy a story centered on a virtual city.
Our take on Extra Coin
The daily-loop structure gives room to choose activities, but also ties the experience to routine and consequences for slacking off. That trade-off may feel restrictive to players who want to ignore schedules and focus only on the family-search plot.
What is Extra Coin?
Extra Coin is a story-focused life simulation set between the real world and The Arcade, a virtual city.
Players explore its streets, meet residents, and choose activities during repeating days, including movie nights, gym sessions, duels, and minigames. Some activities can raise a stat, while skipping tasks may draw disapproval. Duels include boss battles and leaderboard progression, with up to 50 ultimates and 60 abilities available to shape strategy. The story follows Mika as she searches for her parents, who entered The Arcade and disappeared. With real names erased and residents difficult to distinguish, she must look for leads and allies while uncovering what lies behind the virtual world’s polished appearance.
