What is Exotic Matter?
Exotic Matter combines Metroidvania exploration with procedural survival and crafting.
As the sole survivor of an expedition to planet Xcylin, the player searches for an alien substance that could save Earth. Gameplay includes exploration, combat, puzzles, resource mining, shelter construction, and crafting. The voxel world has destructible and reconstructible terrain, alien ruins, and generated underground facilities. Crafting uses both personal methods and large-scale replicator technology. The game is single-player and open world. Its moddable engine allows players to create custom worlds and alter elements such as items, blocks, terrain, planet composition, and biomes. Exotic Matter is in Early Access, and its features may change.
