Our take on Exosky
The store presentation foregrounds risky flying, unusual worlds, and the AI-cat premise, while the core structure is a single-player score chase across 8 levels. The appeal therefore rests on repeating stunt runs and learning aircraft-specific handling rather than on a broad campaign.
What is Exosky?
Exosky is a single-player flight simulation built around risky stunt flying and score-based challenges.
Higher-risk maneuvers produce higher scores and training data for Norton, an AI entity represented as a cat, whose autopilot system is being developed for future pilots. Each of the 11 aircraft has distinct flight characteristics, while the flight model accounts for their individual properties. The game includes 8 surreal levels inspired by computer components, with hazards and fantastical creatures appearing throughout. Courses are semi-procedurally generated and set across unusual technological environments. Full controller and joystick support is included, along with modding support and documentation for the flight model. The game was developed by a licensed pilot.
How Exosky plays
- 01Aircraft Variety
- Eleven aircraft use different flight characteristics, giving each one its own handling behavior.
- 02Surreal Flight Courses
- Eight levels draw on computer components and include environments such as flooded motherboards and sound cards.
- 03Risk-Based Scoring
- More dangerous aerial maneuvers generate higher scores and additional training data for the autopilot project.
- 04Modding Support
- Flight-model documentation is provided for players who want to modify the game.
- 05Controller Support
- The game supports both full controllers and joysticks.
