Our take on EXOME
The focus on wave survival and open-world exploration leaves less room for tightly scripted mission progression. Its cooperative structure also gives the game a group-oriented format, even though single-player mode is available.
What is EXOME?
EXOME is a science-fiction survival shooter that combines wave-based battles with exploration in a non-linear forest.
Players investigate a research team’s disappearance while facing alien hordes, predators, and a spreading corruption. The game supports solo play and cooperative sessions for up to four players. Its horde AI and dynamic difficulty systems shape encounters during play. Weapons and equipment can be developed by finding schematics, making purchases, and applying upgrades. The forest contains hidden details connected to the investigation, while character customization gives players options for their appearance. EXOME also includes partial controller support and an in-game tool for submitting feedback and bug reports.
