Our take on Errant Kingdom
The focus on a large, relationship-driven visual novel means less room for action-oriented gameplay. Its linear story structure also limits how much the narrative can diverge after a romance route is selected, even though different play-throughs can vary.
What is Errant Kingdom?
Set in Novus, a kingdom shaped by factional conflict, magic, treachery, and opposing ideals, this LGBTQ+ fantasy narrative game follows one of three protagonists: the Knight, Ambassador, or Nomad.
Decisions, conduct, and personal connections alter the plot between playthroughs. Romance content includes six one-to-one paths and two options involving multiple partners, alongside routes with no romance and relationships that exclude sexual content. The cast is LGBTQA+, pronouns can be selected, and the game contains over 60 CGs and about 590,000 words. Its complete edition is available on PC, Mac, and Linux. After a relationship path begins, the narrative follows a fixed progression, though other characters remain part of the story.
