Our take on Ergo
The defining structure is a training simulation that gradually merges its virtual environments with an office setting, adding new obstacles, hazards, and mechanics as levels progress.
What is Ergo?
Ergo is a virtual-reality puzzle game built around physics-based interactions.
Players take the role of a newly hired member of a secretive company and enter a training program after being placed in the wrong application. The simulated environments combine interactive puzzles with obstacles, while progressing through levels causes the setting to blend into an office space. New hazards, obstacles, and mechanics appear during the training sequence, and the tests become increasingly difficult. The game also includes flashing lights and disorienting moments, with a warning for people with epilepsy or motion sickness.
How Ergo plays
- 01Physics Puzzle Training
- Levels place interactive challenges inside a simulated training program for secret agents.
- 02Changing Test Environments
- Progress brings the virtual setting into the company office and introduces additional hazards and mechanics.
- 03Virtual Reality Design
- The game was created specifically for virtual-reality play rather than adapted from a non-VR format.
