Our take on Epoch of Guardians
Each run creates a new world and asks for a civilization direction before development begins, making changing strategic setup the defining structure of the experience.
What is Epoch of Guardians?
Epoch of Guardians is a defensive 4X strategy game about guiding a civilization from its beginnings into a larger city.
Each game creates a different world, while civilization characteristics shape the Council’s direction. Resources fund technological development, goals guide expansion, and recruited heroes grow alongside the civilization. Players defend against invading forces by choosing strategies, managing limited resources, and preparing for eight increasingly difficult attacks. Campaign mode presents defensive wars from history through scenarios involving large enemy forces and opposing ancient generals. Multiple difficulty levels change the challenge, and heroes from different fields support both civilization development and defense. The game also includes era-specific limited heroes and a campaign that the vendor says will continue receiving updates.
