Our take on Dynasty Detective
The bounce point arrives when investigation shifts into deduction: players must combine clues and testimonies to identify one truth among several conclusions. Players wanting direct physical combat may also hit a wall when confrontations rely on presenting evidence in one-on-one logical battles.
What is Dynasty Detective?
This visual novel-style mystery follows Jeong Do-sa and colleague Jo Gun-Gwan through a fictional Joseon Dynasty where monsters appear.
Six detective episodes draw on local Korean folklore and investigate murder cases across the dynasty’s eight provinces. Each episode has three to four possible endings. Players examine incident scenes, collect clues, question more than 30 characters, and use testimonies to form deductions. Combining those deductions leads toward the truth of each case. Correctly identifying a culprit or monster triggers a one-on-one logical confrontation, where players present clues to expose lies and land a strike. Jo Gun-Gwan accompanies the investigation and can provide hints during gameplay.
