Our take on Dynacat
Rather than treating platforming as a steady sequence of jumps, Dynacat emphasizes speed, route selection, tether-assisted dashes, wall-running, and style points. Its stage structure also separates ordinary courses, leader encounters, and timed collection challenges.
What is Dynacat?
Dynacat is a fast-paced 3D platforming adventure with an isometric view.
Stages use platforms, springs, obstacles, wall-running, and branching routes, including paths with secrets and optional objectives. A magic tether attaches to targets and can pull Dynacat toward enemies or other objects while airborne. Action Stages focus on reaching the goal, while Spheron Stages involve finding enemy weak points and overcoming obstacles. Special Stages become available after collecting enough crystals and require gathering energy orbs before a time limit ends. Three difficulty modes change how damage, stage order, lives, and access to completed stages work.
How Dynacat plays
- 01Tether-Based Movement
- The tether can connect to different targets and propel Dynacat toward enemies or objects during jumps.
- 02Branching Action Stages
- Obstacle courses include alternate routes, hidden areas, enemy targets, and style-point objectives.
- 03Three Stage Types
- The game combines goal-focused courses, leader encounters, and timed orb-collection stages.
- 04Difficulty Mode Rules
- Easy mode prevents damage, Normal mode permits revisiting completed stages, and Hard mode enforces stage order with lost lives able to reset progress.
