Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for real-time combat may bounce off the turn-based battle system.

- Players seeking multiplayer or competitive action gameplay will not find that structure here.
Our take on Dungeons of Aether
The bounce point arrives at the dice-draft combat system: each turn requires adapting to the available pool rather than relying on a fixed sequence of attacks. Players who dislike variable tactical choices may hit that wall before attempting the more demanding Challenge Dungeons.
What is Dungeons of Aether?
Set in the Rivals of Aether universe, this turn-based dungeon crawler follows expeditions beneath the steampunk town of Julesvale.
Story Mode begins each dive from town, where players can interact with townsfolk and spend gold on gear before the next run. Combat uses a dice-draft system, requiring adaptation to the available dice pool each turn. Four heroes bring different skills: Fleet is suited to learning the combat system, Hamir withstands attacks, Slade can avoid attacks when his speed is high enough, and Artemis can heal herself during battle. Expeditions visit the Julesvale Mines, Lava Caves, Underground Oasis, and Mineral Deposits, with journal entries revealing lore. Challenge Dungeons generate events and fights randomly and require one run through all biomes.
