Our take on DubWars
Rather than treating music as background audio, DubWars makes the soundtrack govern weapon fire and encounter rhythm. Its structure replaces conventional shooting cadence with musical cues, asking players to read bass, drops, and other song changes while managing survival and upgrades.
What is DubWars?
DubWars combines top-down arcade shooting with electronic and dubstep music.
Each song controls weapon fire, with different attacks triggered by its rhythm. Players follow musical changes such as bass sections, climaxes, and drops while moving through levels and surviving enemy attacks. Destroyed enemies can drop Wubs, which can be collected for ship upgrades or ignored while focusing on survival. The game includes 10 custom-built levels, three difficulty modes, objectives, Steam achievements, Trading Cards, and leaderboards. Its tracklist includes music from artists such as Varien, Celldweller, NGHTMRE, and Omni. Players can also read about featured artists, find their other music, and follow them. Steam, Xbox, PS4, and Steam Controller use is recommended.
