Our take on DSY: Don't Shoot Yourself
The game concentrates its challenge on bullets that return as hazards, so broader combat systems and exploration give way to repeated attention to projectile behavior. The six tiers and 60 patterns add variation, but the central survival premise remains narrowly defined.
What is DSY: Don't Shoot Yourself?
DSY: Don't Shoot Yourself is a minimalist puzzle shmup about surviving bullets that represent thoughts and return as threats.
Walls represent the mind, while each pattern creates a different interaction with the bullets. Progress involves moving through inner conflict and finding a piece that allows the next conflict to be reached. The game includes 6 tiers based on mindfulness states and 60 patterns. Three difficulty levels are available: Reality, a normal setting; Mind, a hard setting; and Zen, described as impossible. One challenge requires surviving 100 bullets coming back toward the player. The objective is to survive these encounters and discover the piece needed to move forward.
