Our take on Dreamless
Rather than treating the setting as a fixed maze, the game makes the abandoned house alter its rooms and passages as the investigation continues. The camera also functions as part of exploration, tying the protagonist’s video project to the horror structure.
What is Dreamless?
Dreamless is a first-person psychological horror adventure set in a remote town where teenagers vanish during a recurring seven-day period.
John, an aspiring video blogger nearing his 18th birthday, enters an abandoned house with a camera to film an urban-legend investigation. The building soon changes: corridors and rooms become unfamiliar, passages appear, and the planned video turns into a search for answers. Exploration involves examining the dark house, reading notes about missing teenagers, finding objects, and solving puzzles involving keys, riddles, and object arrangements. The camera’s night mode supports investigation and recording. As the story progresses, the house introduces new obstacles and puzzles while revealing more about the disappearances.
