What is Drafting Tales?
Drafting Tales follows a new writer working from an apartment while pursuing a career as an author.
Players create articles, short stories, nonfiction, and novels by choosing genre and topic combinations and assigning effort points to literary elements. Peer feedback provides information for finding suitable combinations. Inspiration is limited, so production decisions must be balanced with expenses. The game includes contacting agents and publishers, seeking publication, receiving reviews, gaining fans, customizing and self-publishing books, and posting articles and short stories on a website. Experience unlocks more work types, genres, topics, and purchasable items with perks. Players can also pursue award nominations, earn money, buy store items, upgrade their home, and retire on a yacht.
