Our take on Direct Hit: Missile War
Rather than centering combat on infantry, vehicles, or other familiar RTS units, the game makes customizable missiles the main military system. Separate maps for the rival corporations also replace the shared battlefield structure found in many real-time strategy games.
What is Direct Hit: Missile War?
Direct Hit: Missile War is a real-time strategy game set during a future era of planetary colonization.
Two corporations establish bases on a contested planet, gather resources, trade minerals, research technologies, and fight an isolated missile duel. Players scan for and mine resources, then design missiles from customizable components to attack the opposing corporation. The game uses separate maps for each player and replaces conventional RTS units with missiles. It includes 7 stages and 14 missions, plus 5 technology levels covering over 60 technologies. More than 30 missile-part types support the missile-design system. The last corporation standing receives full rights to the contested colony.
