Our take on Dice 'n Goblins
The game concentrates its combat around dice manipulation and build choices, trading away a more direct action-combat feel. Its layered dungeon structure and equipment systems also require attention to movement, loot, and character setup rather than keeping the experience purely focused on exploration.
What is Dice 'n Goblins?
Play as Gobby, a goblin searching for a way out of an expanding dungeon.
Explore 10 connected maps with first-person, grid-based movement across multiple vertical levels, using stairs, elevators, jumps, swims, and drops to navigate the labyrinth. Turn-based battles use dice for attacking and defending, with re-rolls and combat skills changing results and enabling combos. Defeat more than 50 monster types and bosses, collect new dice and rare equipment, earn gold, and buy gear from a dungeon merchant. A pool of over 60 dice and 22 skills supports different character builds. Encounters with dungeon inhabitants, hand-painted paper figures in a 3D setting, and choices leading to two endings add structure beyond combat.
