Our take on Delven
The combination of base management, automated crafting, exploration, and combat creates a broad planning loop, but it also divides attention across several systems. Players seeking tightly focused battles may find the factory and progression layers take priority.
What is Delven?
Delven combines factory building, exploration, and turn-based RPG combat.
Players expand a base, hire workers, automate crafting, and manage multiple areas as workers gain levels. Exploration takes place in underground biomes containing plants and minerals, while expeditions can yield randomly generated weapons and armor. Mercenaries can be trained, and companions can be developed through gear and skill trees. Auto-battle handles regular monsters, but tougher enemies and bosses require manual controls. Battles can be approached at different speeds, and offline progress continues crafting while the game is away or the computer is shut down. The game also includes technology research and unlimited inventory.

- 04Underground Exploration
- The 2D world contains varied biomes, plants, minerals, and randomly generated weapons and armor.
