We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade strategy fans who want real-time movement mixed with field-clearing puzzles
- Solo players who prefer many short maps over one continuous scenario
- Puzzle players who want custom-map creation and pseudo-random challenges
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking turn-based planning may bounce off the real-time enemy pressure during line drawing
- Those wanting a single long-form adventure may find the map-based structure repetitive across more than 75 campaign stages
- Players looking for large-scale military strategy will not find unit command or battlefield management here
Our take on Delta Light
The bounce point arrives when drawing lines under enemy pressure: players must manage movement and puzzle planning at the same time. Those who need pause-heavy, turn-based decision-making may hit that wall early, while the repeated map structure can become the larger obstacle later.
What is Delta Light?
Delta Light is a retro arcade strategy-puzzle game in which players control Delta, a ghost, and draw lines that remove sections of each level while enemies attempt to interfere.
The campaign contains more than 75 maps. Infinite mode uses pseudo-randomly generated maps with changing affixes and ranking progression. An in-game editor supports custom map creation and sharing through a sharing string. Fruit pickups provide stackable stat bonuses, including speed from Cherries and toughness from Melons. Eleven unlockable characters have distinct passive effects and can be selected in any game mode. Controls include arrow keys, W/A/S/D, and controllers. Steam features include achievements, statistics, Cloud, and Community.
