Our take on Death Squared
Instead of treating cooperation as a supporting feature, Death Squared makes communication and shared coordination the central puzzle mechanic. Its structure also shifts between solo, two-player, and four-player formats, replacing a single-player progression path with distinct group sizes and level sets.
What is Death Squared?
Death Squared is a puzzle game built around cooperative play, supporting one, two, or four players.
Each person directs a robot to a goal marked by colour, avoiding traps and hazards along the way. Players need to study each level, communicate, and time their movements together to find a route through. The main campaign has 80 story stages for solo or two-player sessions. Groups of four can play 40 stages in Party Mode. The Vault contains 45 additional experiments, and Extra Vault adds 42 stages for two players, released in 2025. A fully voiced narrative runs through the story campaign. In solo mode, one person controls the robots needed to play both sides of the game.
