Is Death Harvest worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR players who want zombie survival shooting rather than non-combat exploration
- Small groups seeking cooperative missions for up to 4 players
- Players who prefer scavenging, extraction, and wave-defense modes over a single campaign structure
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed or low-pressure experience may find the survival missions and zombie combat too intense.
- Players wanting a broad selection of activities beyond shooting, scavenging, extraction, target hunts, and wave defense may find the gameplay focused.
- Players looking for a non-VR game are not the intended audience.
Our take on Death Harvest
The focus on VR survival combat gives the game tactile interactions and squad missions, but it also narrows the experience around repeated danger, resource gathering, and defense scenarios rather than slower exploration or varied non-combat play.
What is Death Harvest?
Death Harvest places players in a zombie-filled wasteland through cooperative virtual-reality combat and survival gameplay.
Sessions support solo play or teams of up to four. Changing weather affects exploration, while three mission types offer different objectives: gather supplies and decide when to return, track down a valuable target, or withstand successive enemy assaults. The equipment list contains 25 guns, 16 close-combat weapons, and three kinds of explosives. Players physically sort backpack contents, use a touchscreen datapad, and consume food and drink. Assisting survivors advances the colony, and environmental clues disclose the origins of the virus. The player character belongs to Boston’s Reapers combat unit.
