Our take on Death and Ladders
Players who depend on precise planning may hit a wall when a dice roll determines movement, a scythe reverses progress, or a failed shortcut wastes the turn. Competitive players may also bounce off Tarot cards when an opponent uses one to disrupt a planned advance.
What is Death and Ladders?
Death and Ladders is a board game about reaching the top through dice rolls.
Landing at the start of a ladder moves a player upward, while landing on a scythe sends the player to its bottom. Optional shortcuts offer faster progress but require an exact roll; otherwise, the turn is wasted. At the beginning of each turn, players receive Tarot Ability Cards that can improve their chances or trap an opponent. The game can be played in a relaxing setting among a Skeleton crew, or against other players in online and local player-versus-player matches. Its story presents the game as a chance to win back a life by entertaining Death.
