Our take on Dead Unending
Building and automating a fortified base gives the game a planning layer, but that focus also divides attention between combat and management. Players looking for uninterrupted zombie fighting may spend substantial time gathering materials, arranging defenses, and upgrading structures.
What is Dead Unending?
Dead Unending combines open-world scavenging with base construction and zombie defense.
Players search the city for weapons, food, supplies, and other resources while facing zombie hordes and possible encounters with scavengers. A campsite can be expanded into a fortified stronghold by improving structures, placing traps, installing turrets, and arranging the layout for defense. Resource gathering and production can be automated, as can parts of the base’s defensive operation. Survivors are scattered across the world to find, adding exploration objectives beyond collecting supplies. Character creation includes hundreds of customization choices. The central loop moves between exploring the post-apocalyptic city, gathering materials, improving the base, and preparing it to withstand attacks.
