When the hero dies, the next world is generated rather than restarting the same one. Combat includes time manipulation: creating attack arches, slowing enemy objects, and accelerating the hero. The game has more than 150 rooms and over 85 enemy types, and worlds differ in their gameplay and enemies. Progression comes from items found along the way. Each item has a distinct skill and can gain levels. Items above level one remain after death but lose one level. Optional events offer chances to obtain rare items, while weapons and equipment provide ways to become stronger.
